Potty training

I love having Matthew potty trained. It wasn't fun teaching him, but it has finally engraved in his brain (with a lot of bribes, yelling and screaming -from both parties, some cursing -that was from me and threatening). We have dry pull-ups at night and during nap time. I am now even brave enough to let him sleep in his underwear - okay soon. Going pee was easier for Matthew he had it down the 3rd week for sure but #2 was another story. He was Mr. Regular - very regular, like 4 times a day! Yes, tons of diapers and changing -yuck! So he went down to nothing to pooping in his underwear or WAITING for a pull-up to be put on. I was getting so mad and I tried talking and letting him understand that pooping in toilet was okay to do. Nothing was working, I tried candy, cars-nope nothing was working. So finally he pooped in his underwear and I told him that he has to wear it and with a diaper on the outside. He was so mad at this. "Yucky, stinky, I don't wanna wear it" he screamed. So I took it off and told him to go outside and I hosed him off (yes with the hose and yes I waited until the water was cold!) He didn't like that so much either. So this happened only once more and that was last week. My kid has decided to not get hosed off and wear the stinky underwear with poop - and poop in the POTTY! It is amazing how fast things click when they decide something. It has taken me 4 weeks! This is week 5 with no accidents (so far). Who said they can potty train their kid in 3 days - they are amazing or (probably) lying!
