BIG!!

Okay, so Matthew loves to add "Big" to everything he sees or does. For example he sees a truck it is a "Big Truck!" he takes a bite it is a "Big Bite"! okay you get the picture. So we are at church and we are walking to Nursery and Matthew sees a very large man walking towards us. He points and says, "Wow, Big Guy!" the man looks at us and says, "like I haven't heard that one before." He says it like he is hurt and offended and John and I are so shocked we just keep walking. Matthew is only 2 and he wasn't meaning how fat he was, he was just saying he was a big guy. The things our kids will say!

Sleeping

I have been getting up with Izzie almost every two hours at night. Every time I put her down her eyes would pop open! It was driving me crazy. Plus I had her all tightly wrapped (like a burrito baby) and she would fight her way out - in her sleep - so she would be grunting and making all sorts of sounds. With that she got kicked out of our bedroom and into hers and in the crib. She looked so tiny, but John and I needed the sleep. But this was harder on her situation for sleeping. Since she was on a flat surface and on her back she hardly would sleep at nights - so John (mostly me) would get 4-5 hours a sleep a night. I was so tired and lost my patience a lot -especially with Matthew. But I did know that she loved sleeping on her belly on us. So during her naps I would place her on her tummy and she would sleep for hours! I couldn't believe it. So a few nights ago I placed her on her belly - prayed she wouldn't die of SIDS (doctors make you feel so guilty if you don't do what they say) and believe or not she only woke up once! I am now getting 6-7 hours of sleep at night and feel so much better. I know we aren't "suppose" to place them on the tummy but what are we suppose to do - be a terrible parent by being sleep deprived or go against the doctor and worry about her dying on me in her sleep. I pray every night that she lives! Plus, I slept on my tummy as a baby and I am still here.

Boys playing

We had our little friend Josh over to play and they were just going at it! Having fun I mean. I wish I got the camera 1 minute earlier because they were laughing like crazy. Matthew loves having friends over to play.

Matt loves his sister

Matthew loves Izzie - however sometimes he is a little to strong - sits on her, lays on her, tries to pick her up, and dumps her out of her bouncer seat, etc. I do have to watch him like a hawk, but he loves her and wants to give her a lot of affection.

Grandma Jaggi

We were lucky to have Grandma Jaggi come and help us since Isabel has joined our family. She took Matthew on walks and let us sleep in (especially since I have been getting up every 2 hours with Izzie) Thank you Grandma - we miss you already!!

First time to church

6/8/08 Izzie's first time going to church. She did wonderful -slept most the time.

A/C unit

Has anyone had their Air Conditioning unit checked out for the summer - It is a "Tune Up for A/C units? We are thinking about it and it is going to cost around $140.00 - Is this normal and worth it? Any suggestions? Thanks!
